Turning points
1-When his father died Mandela was groomed for becoming chief of his local tribe.
2-whilst at university Nelson became increasingly aware of the unjust nature of South African society.The majority of Black South African had little opportunities either Economic orPolitical
3- Nelson became involved in politics .
4-Mandela expelled from FortHare for organizing a student stike.
5-In 1944 Mendela helped found the ANC Youth League,whose Programme of Action was adopted by the ancon 1949.
6- In 1952 Mandela and Tambo open the first Black law firm in South Africa.
7-In 1960 the Sharpeville massacre of 63 Black South African State and in theory sought to follow the rule of law.
8-In 1962 Mendela had been arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment in the notorious Robben Island prison.
Achievements:
1-Mandela was able to finish his degree and qualified as a lawyer.
2-He is one of the few politicians who have gone beyond a politicalrol: he is widely admired and has received many prestigious awards.

4-In1993 Nelson was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with F.W.De Klerk.
